Privacy policy
Last updated September 29, 2026
This policy explains what information Status LLC ("Status," "we," "us") collects when you use statusminisplit.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect what's needed to sell and deliver your equipment, we never see your full card number, and we don't sell your personal information.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Order details — your name, email address, phone number, and shipping/billing address when you place an order or start checkout.
- Payment — payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number goes directly from your browser to Stripe and never touches our servers. We receive payment confirmations and limited payment-method details, such as the card brand and last four digits. See Stripe's privacy policy.
- Support conversations — what you send us by email or live chat, or discuss by phone.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data — pages viewed, device and browser type, and approximate location derived from IP address, collected by the website services described below.
How we use it
- to process orders, arrange freight delivery, and send order and tracking updates;
- to provide support and honor cancellations, returns, and warranty help;
- to prevent fraud and secure the Site;
- to understand how the store is used so we can improve it;
- to advertise our products; and
- to comply with tax and other legal obligations.
We send marketing email only if you opt in, and every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. Transactional email (order confirmations, tracking, receipts) is sent for every order.
Website storage, analytics, and chat
We use cookies and browser storage to keep the Site working, including remembering your cart and sign-in and supporting checkout.
We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand overall use of the Site, including page views, referring websites, device and browser type, and approximate location. Vercel describes this service as providing aggregated statistics without third-party analytics cookies. See Vercel's Web Analytics privacy information.
We also use Google Analytics to see how people find and use the Site: the pages they view, the site or ad that brought them here, device and browser type, and approximate location. It stores its own cookies (named _ga) to recognize a returning browser. Account and checkout pages are never sent to Google Analytics, and other page addresses are trimmed to their campaign details. It doesn't load at all in browsers that send a Global Privacy Control signal. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
If you choose Start a chat, we load tawk.to to provide the conversation. The service receives the messages and contact details you provide, along with device and connection information. See tawk.to's privacy policy.
Your choices
- block or delete cookies and browser storage in your browser settings, which may affect cart, sign-in, and checkout features;
- contact us by email or phone if you prefer not to use live chat;
- turn off Google Analytics with Google's opt-out browser add-on or a Global Privacy Control signal;
- where required by your state's law, we honor opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control.
Who we share information with
We share personal information only with service providers who need it to run the store: Stripe (payments), freight carriers (delivery — they get your name, address, and phone to schedule it), our hosting and infrastructure providers, our email delivery provider, tawk.to (live chat), and Vercel Web Analytics and Google Analytics (website usage statistics). We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights, or as part of a business transfer. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with unrelated third parties for their own marketing.
Retention and security
We keep order records as long as needed for warranty support, accounting, and tax purposes, then delete or anonymize them. The Site is served over HTTPS and access to order data is limited to the people who need it to serve you. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect what you share with us.
Your rights
Depending on your state, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of targeted advertising. To exercise any of these rights, email support@statusminisplit.com — we'll verify the request and respond within the time your state's law requires. We never discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
Children
The Site sells HVAC equipment and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13; if you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes affecting how we use information already collected will be communicated by email where we have one on file.
