1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to purchase from the Site. You agree that the information you provide with an order — including your contact details and delivery address — is accurate and complete.

2. Products and DIY installation

We sell heating and cooling equipment, including DIY mini splits designed for owner installation using pre-charged line sets. "DIY" describes the product design, not a promise that installation is right for everyone. You are responsible for:

• following the manufacturer's installation instructions and safety warnings in full;
• complying with all applicable building codes, electrical codes, and permit requirements in your area; and
• using a licensed electrician or other qualified professional where required by law or by the manufacturer — high-voltage electrical connections in particular.

Product specifications, coverage estimates (such as square footage or BTU guidance), and compatibility information on the Site are provided for general reference and are not a substitute for a professional load calculation or site assessment.

3. Orders, acceptance, and pricing

Your order is an offer to purchase. We may accept or decline any order at our discretion — for example, where we suspect fraud, where a product is out of stock, or where a listing contains an error. Your payment method is not charged until you complete checkout, and if we cancel an order after payment we will refund it in full to the original payment method.

Orders, including mini split pre-orders, are charged in full at checkout. The checkout page always states the amount due before you confirm. An order placed earlier on deposit terms keeps the terms that applied when it was placed (see Section 11).

We work to keep pricing and product information accurate, but errors happen. If an item's listed price is incorrect, we may cancel the order and notify you, or offer you the option to proceed at the correct price. Promotional codes apply only as described at the time of the promotion, cannot be combined unless stated, and have no cash value.

Prices exclude any applicable sales tax, which is calculated and shown at checkout where required.

4. Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. Your full card details are transmitted directly to Stripe and never touch our servers. By submitting payment you authorize us (through Stripe) to charge the amount shown as due at checkout, including any tax.

5. Shipping and delivery

Orders ship by freight carrier with free delivery to your curb as described in our Shipping policy, which is part of these Terms. Delivery estimates are good-faith estimates, not guarantees. Risk of loss passes to you upon delivery; please inspect every shipment at the curb before signing, as described in the Shipping policy.

6. Cancellations, returns, and refunds

You can cancel any order free of charge at any time before it ships for a full refund of everything you have paid. After delivery, returns and replacements are governed by our Returns & refunds policy, which is part of these Terms.

7. Warranty

Status LLC is the warrantor for Status mini splits and parts. Each mini split is covered by our written 8-year limited warranty, which is published in full on that page and is the governing text — if anything on this site describes the warranty differently, the limited warranty controls.

Accessories that are not manufactured for Status carry their own manufacturer's warranty where one is offered.

AS STATED IN THE LIMITED WARRANTY, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND OF FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE LIMITED TO A TERM OF ONE YEAR FROM THE DATE OF ORIGINAL INSTALLATION. Some states or provinces do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so this limitation may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STATUS LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR ANY PRODUCT — including damages related to installation or removal of equipment — AND OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE PRODUCT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. Some states do not allow these limitations, so they may not fully apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Site content and acceptable use

The Site and its content (text, images, logos, and design) belong to Status LLC or its licensors and may not be copied or used commercially without permission. Product names and logos of manufacturers are the trademarks of their respective owners. You agree not to misuse the Site — including scraping at scale, attempting to breach its security, or placing fraudulent orders.

10. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us first and give us a chance to resolve the issue informally — most issues can be fixed with a phone call. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version posted on the Site at the time you place an order is the version that applies to that order. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
